To Save the Desktop Image into a picture File, We generally print screen the desktop and then paste it in Either photoshop or MS paint and then save it as jpeg format. Now, Instead of doing all this, you can simply do it in a single shot by installing the My Shot portable tool. Run the My shot tool and Press Ctrl+D to convert the entire desktop to an image file and type the desired name in the pop-up  Save Wizard and save the file. If  you would like to save only the active window, press Ctrl+W. If would like to save any other desired screen , there is an option for freestyle selection, simply press Ctrl+R for doing that.
