DeePavali

 We all decked out in flowing and glittering outfits on the Indian festival of lights. This year marked the first time I enjoyed at this new place; there was a nice turnout for the festival at least from my side

To be a part of this Diwali celebrations we have come up with different things, which surely helped us in making one's Diwali a never forgotten affair.

In the beginning, I thought of illuminating with Rocket, but it had enlightened me that a safe diwali is so important, it really brought fun and togetherness for us. It is heartening to see everyone busy in fireworks, adding to the sparkling festivity and lighten up the sky at night. That was a visual delight. That night was really awesome with ear deafening bombs.

Finally the Splendor of this diwali is so great, that it had a sweet memory for us.

Delhi Tour.....

Ambience Mall- Truly does Justice to what it says, it's a huge Mall. The first time i ws there, the fashion mall left me spellbound. With almost every brand available, makes everyones life easier. Its a nice place to hang-out. The sheer size will make everyone notice this place while to travel on the Vasant Kunj Main Road, Truly it shud not be given a miss.

This Ambience Mall has two big anchor stores,awesome place to hang-out if u really love roaming around and gud eatouts even.

DLF Emporio, the most Luxurious shopping Destination, unprecedented collection of the finest and rarest in life. it offered a splendid shopping experience like no other. we have njoied 4 levels of exclusive shoppingMe in Harley Davidson Showroom, and thats enuf for me to njoi . The Whole sunday has been filled with fun and masti by watching Fashion freaks and spicejets(!!) at the Mall.

GURUDWARA BANGLA SAHIB

its near Connaught place, the golden dome was depicts the real essence. Visited bare footed, covering head, entered the main hall inside is simple and welcoming, a complete devotional feeling  has been filled in me. coming out and taking the Prasad( Langar), i proceed to the pond called Sarovar which was beside the Temple looking so clear. The main important thing that attracted me was the Voluntary labor of Devotees and peoples contributions which was leading to the total cleaness of the premises.It is  very difficult to imagine  that such a peaceful place exists right next to the busy roads with heavy mad traffic. But finally after coming out th e place i felt the truth in it.

LOTUS TEMPLE

Visiting the Replica of the Opera House - Lotus temple place of worship, gave me an immense pleasure and due respect to the Bahai worship, serving people of all religions withput ant restrictions  We are not allowed to worship our god without any inhibitions and disturbances. it has nine ponds in and around to njoi. It's a nice place to meditate and to boost up yourself when you are morally down.

It's a real treat to watch the India gate in the Night when all the lights are lighted.It is the place where innumerous people visit daily. A feeling of Being an Indian  Made me so Proud that i could not spellout the xperience.

Qutub Minar

Its an historical place , entry to the Steps is prohibited. So there was a disappointment for me and i could njoi to the fullest as there ws no crowd on that odd day.Gone through all the Stone mounted Notices and felt hte historical traditions.

Sarojini Nagar Market

its a posh South Delhi's Market, the most sought after place in delhi from where you can buy all the Day to day Items. you can get the stylist items here for a very cheaper rate. Now i am very confident that even i can bargain to the 1/10th of the price that the seller first tells as an original Price. Visited this place for 2 times within 5 days. for the second visit i felt that if anyone has a nose fo shopping and can bargain , it is the right place for you guys.the Crux of the market attracts every one with varied list of items, it's a cheap fashion market. You can find lot of chiks here buying al the posh items. even you can savor the hot indian food items and the market GK M and N block are the most romantic places to visit if you really love hanging out.

Women seek 33% Reservation, Not 33% Respect from Men.....

Women have been always shown Respect in the Indian Society,You will  know the real sense about this when you see the social position of Indian women.It is sad that even today the number of dowry deaths and all kinds of harassment on women are so high. Last night i have gone through  a news channel where it telecast about a dowry harassment victim.Due to the un-fulfillment of demands of dowry, many women die at the hands of their in-laws.Can't we do something about this 
A Survey has reported that one day the growth rate of crimes against women would be higher than the India's population growth rate, and this has become true at the present scenario. you wonder with your level of  distress  when you list down the crimes against women,Sexual harassment,dowry, Child marriage,Female infanticide and sex selective abortions,,Domestic violence,trafficking.... From my personal experience I know that  harassment is wide spread in every sphere of life in India, including each and every sector. If you venture out in public life, in more competitive corporate career in India you can expect a far worse situation.i have never seen any young women in  India walking freely in any public place, public transport and so on..... Everyone in this world is on some kind of guard.

To understand the impact of sexual harassment or the other crime on women, one must listen to the account of its victims as no  one conveys the meaning and truth of sexual harassment better than the woman who have endured it. what kind of emotional response does eve teasing / sexual harassment evoke in you?? 
A question wanders in my mind, will men respect women in general?? Do men pity women in general, because of our vulnerabilities?? or Do men have a certain hard -to- explain admiration for women at times and pity other times? what can a woman do to get and earn man's respect  in most cases? a Lot of men speak in a condescending way towards and about all the women... Men view women very   differently than themselves. that difference in view doesn't mean that they don't respect women(or that they do either) it is just different!!

I have seen many women who pamper their sons a lot and discriminate the girl child, which finally lead their sons  to be a male chauvinist. Good Parenting will solve all the social problems......


P.s:  I am not supporting women here, i am just trying to keep the respect for them

I get distressed when people misunderstand me and stops talking, I feel that Misunderstanding is one of the most common reasons why relationships end. It Drives me insane when i see people yelling and screaming over some crap which is not at all true, they just believe every small thought b'cos they misunderstood..

ITS an unbearable thing in my life. Its strange how people become uncommunicable and how misunderstanding causes them to go from love to strong hatred for u.

EMOTIONAL ATYACHAAR

Last Nite when I was scrolling the channels in my television, I came across a programme Emotional Atyachar on UTV Bindass. I was shocked with the way they are projecting the obscene acts of people. These people can do anything and can go to any extent to increase their TRPs, This programme is even worse than the “Sach ka samna”!! Seriously it redefines sadistic Voyeurism to a new height.

This show has crossed all the limits of sanity..Thriving on negativity, abusive language, inhuman behavior, uncivilized life styles and uncouth manners. To me It is not a reality show but it’s a commercial posing as a drama mainly concerned about their profits rather than the Quality of content.

To my greatness, the show will be telecasted at 7 Pm on Friday; does u think that is the pat time for the show of this kind??


One day some suicide case will happen, then they gonna definitely stop the production

On a whole EMOTIONAL ATYACHAAR- is a no constraint show, a soft emotional pornography



It reminds me of my friend who says life is after all a compromise most of the time .While crying in front of the camera is better than breaking down in front of your partner

Reminiscence                      Dated:09-02-10

My mind always wanders around my campus. Just before the date of vacating my hostel and leaving Chennai (23rd May 2009), I was so much occupied with the formalities of getting out of institute, packing my stuff, and spending those quality moments with my friends, I clearly remember the scene of my friends with all tears, even the clouds were shedding tears at that time….I never thought that this sentimental feeling would pain me in writing in this post. I remember each and every day every minute, every second I spent with my friends in my campus. I am very much thankful to god for giving me such a sweet memories. I recall every moment of my B-tech life …


I came here to Orissa, occupied myself with jungle and jargon people, and spending time with scrap, soil. I always try myself not to get bored even for a second, but during my College days, there was no chance of thinking in this regard. Internet gives a great way to stay connected, and forget myself and I am always happy that god is on my side. I can make the days even more eventful, fruitful with the internet. I guess I have to be once again be with my friends to have a blast together.

But, I believe this as  my illusion, will it ever be happening, I always try to be away from my friends so as to control my sentiments. Remembering those days tears roll in my eyes, but the funny moments will always bring laughter in ma life I still can’t forget those days, teasing

Kamal used to be our gang’s routine work, he is our bunny , talking about all kind of stuff and life with S2 (Ravi kiran), sree enthused me to listen and acquire more knowledge about them, admiring POP's (abhiram) social networking adventures, liaisons with gals, talking about mess food- Going to night dhabas, seeing Pogo’s (sunil Manohar) frustration -Psychic behavior , watching Thumbsup (sumanth) & Manmadha (Karteek) toiling day and night over those assignments and we rest guys cog those assignments, Tikolo (sudheer) andhagadu in his own world of bulbing walking behind profs, seniors, Kamal’s arbit arguments and philosophy of saying “No” We 7 guys share more memories as a core team in our department. The lost LCD, searching for someone to imply his ideologies, njoing movie grandslams.
 Recalling the Moments of My Final year, gives me immense feeling. There’s no much work for any of us. I remember kamal paining me by inviting to his room,  I always try to  reject that as I listened my hostel mates calling me as sarasite. Playing UNO with these people and paining kamal  njoing Pogo’s Poor Jokes and contaminating this disease to every one of us.I became a pj god in my hostel b’cos of Pogo. Spending time in the lawn opposite the mess hall Himalaya. Seeing everyone njoing themselves by kicking kamals damaged Ass. Watching Movies all together in Lab through the night  with the AC switched on. Working in the lab at nite time, Hanging out  at Chennai  mochas, shopping malls, theatres, Restaurants. Nite time beach Visits even in rain, Police warning us, getting him wrath with our Pjs , Nite walk in our campus to find the new lovers, Catching Romantic Scenes, Discussing the Gossips, seeing gals and guys Helping Lcd in his love story, These people taming me for my feelings. Visiting Profs’ House during the festivals in a ghumbal, Campaigning during the campus elections , Remembering  Lcd’s and thup’s behavior after a strong  Booze session  in the jamuna hostel nite, thup walking on a  straight line and saying that he is steady even after drinking a lot, LCD cleaning his room at the nite time and discussing his  flirting  innings During his  interviews , claiming that’s the reason for his failure in the placements  & kamal kissing me infront of a gal at 2 AM in the morning and seeing that gal laughing at us kamal called  her  ****** loudly in front of her boy, me and karteek with annoyed  faces.

-->Participating in each and every event and winning prizes and partying with all friends. Scorpio trip to Pondycherry. Pop and kamal playing with my life in my hostel nite, seeing myself regretting that, Discos in my last semester, using creative minds at time for various purposes, spreading the Bulbing character’s incidents, discovering innovative methods  in cracking the exams. Seeing kamal fighting  for his attendance shortage, Pop for his Nee****. Swimming in our  pools daily in the last sem watching biggies, Kicking and having awesome bumps on Spl days, Celebrating Festivals, Temples, nites at Coffee Day,list goes on….   There is so much more I will be reminded of in years to come, but I wish these are not the only memories with these people.... and there is more to come. I had this sudden sentimental feeling as I am tired of crying today. I ask myself why I am so sensitive, why I treat close ones as my own soul -->

I will keep remembering those unforgettable moments. I will keep watching those videos, those photographs, in a false attempt to relive those days. I will keep in touch..... till then, goodbye!

Life @ IIT Madras                                                      Dated:08-02-10

There are umpteen moments in my life, very few of them which can be expressed in words. As an Youngster I always dreamt of being there and finally I was. The feeling of being at IIT was certainly a cherish able one for me. As far as infrastructure is concerned the Institute offers incomparable amenities to its students. The institute in pursuit of offering pollution free environment to members uses bicycles and battery powered buses for commuting within the campus. It also offers excellent facilities for sports, health care, shopping, banks etc within the campus.

Our activities in Hostel start from waking up the morning, food in the mess, sports in the quadrangles, hanging out in the common rooms. The parties at night, the last-minute studying. Late shows in Chennai theaters and on computers. Different types of movies that students watch and books that students read! Card games and carrom matches. Music in the hostels. The OAT movies. Contacts with the opposite sex. Food in dhaba and Night canteens. And events like The inter-hostel competitions. Celebrations of festivals. Hostel night, the toast and the roast. Elections and hostel secretary posts. Ragging in the hostels. Finally ending up with Adieu, Fare well Parties, Institute Day, the app season Placements and Convocation the final.)  Here I am briefing out my IIT journey

The charm of IIT life lies in the hostel life, First Day at IIT Madras was over with the Room Allotment, setting up my room, meeting new friends and the first week was full of Orientation Programmes. At first Introductions were very interesting. Soon had the Ragging Sessions we call them as Interactive sessions in our lingo. The famous dialogue by the seniors that every fresher gets used to ,is “Put Intro da.......”  the ragging sessions of IIT Madras were unique, focusing perhaps cerebral humility rather than the physical humiliation , that kind of intellectual ragging  finally results to  a creative nickname  to the fresher. Ragging lets an unwilling IItian towards sports, cultural activities And came to that we are going to have a Fresher’s party.  This was the First party for any fresher!! So there were no boundaries for my imagination at that point. But soon I realized the real difference in the celebrations. I bet u guys u can never find such type of parties in any college!!

Extracurricular activities of the students rock the campus-Students Activities Center popularly known as SAC is the hub for all the Major Indoor Activities. It is also a Venue for the IIT madras Convocation.

Fresher’s party is something one creates a strong bond among students and associates with college. I had no clue or rather not expected it at IIT in such a pompous fashion. What we really got in the party was simply amazing. I could see no Faculty member in the hall and that was really amazing. To escape from the Ragging sessions I used to go for the Dance practice saying that I gonna perform for the fresher’s party and that’s how I made it finally for the day and that’s my first performance in my life After the declaration of Mr & Ms. Freshers and a small ‘nick-name’ game. However our seniors were so s good we were all well received and they treated us as bunnies and had fun with us , we had almost the entire student community on the dance floor. Later seniors left us and eyed on gals for the ragging sessions, looking at the senior’s frustration I could understand the Scarcity of Gals at IITs and we finally got back to the hostel at around two in the morning.

Celebrating Festivals in IIT Madras, like Holi- awesome gathering and  finally having shower in  the  Besant Nagar shore( Elliots Beach) nearby the Campus.

Diwali at IIT Madras was a riotous mix of lights, sound and danger, that only the inspirited guys who went home for the 3-day holiday missed. Every hostelite received crackers (we get them from our hostel’s student budget), and much of this money was used to purchase crackers and sweets.

Every Monday We used to have Extra Moral Lectures (EML) by Erudite Persons. Lectures were simply over whelming with clarity of thought and speech. Citing numerous examples, quotes and excerpts from books, lectures was greatly inspiring, to say the least. They drive home the importance of hard work and excellence and also urged us towards life. I believe that many of the Lectures inspired me and made a strong mark on my character.  One thing that any good college does to you is to bring you in contact with great personalities, people who have made a mark in their fields. Learnt a lot  from them and their experiences. Inspiration is self-motivating and we need them a lot.

When it comes to 'Out Door' sports, there were Inter - IIT sports meet, Fresher’s tournaments, cricket tournament and Gerhard Fischer & Kokila Rajaiah Tournament (GFKR).The recreational facilities like Music Club, Astronomy Club, and Hiking Club etc make students learn a lot beyond academics. Traditional hostel rivalries, and particular expressions thereof were properly maintained during festivals, elections, Schroeter, Tech-Soc, Lit-Soc and  sports activities. Sangam ground and the activities there.

The festivals like SAARANG and SHAASTRA celebrated every year provide students a chance to explore their creative and technological skills. In addition to these major festivals there were Department Technical Festivals.  All the money required for the organization of these events are sourced from sponsors of the event. The institute remains closed during these festivals to allow better participation of the students. Students from other colleges are also invited to participate in the various events of the festival. This is an Awesome chance for every IITian to have a festival. Although all IITs have different set of events for their festivals, there are usually a set of literary events (like extempore speech and debate), fashion shows and art-related events (like dramatics, singing, and instrumentals).every one of us used to roam all through the day and night in search of the posh posh quality products!

Our Cultural Festival Saarang  will  be  held annually in the third week of Januaryevery year. Preparations for  this starts a month  earlier by students. It is host to around 50,000 students over the f 4-5 days that it runs. Every evening has a 'pro-show', which refers to a professional music artist or band act. The Saarang Main Quiz has a reputation of being the only one of its sort. It starts at 11 PM and continues until 6 AM (sunrise), and is held in an open-air theatre (OAT). When students are not competing or watching others compete, they are often found partying to loud music, or simply relaxing in the beautiful campus of IIT Madras, which is set inside a national forest reserve.

I made some of the most wonderful friends and thoroughly enjoyed the first year of my stay at IIT. Needless to say, being regular meant that studies were also going well and that gave an added impetus to everything around me. My first Year went all with the Masti, enjoying each and every moment. Seeing everything for the first time lets everyone to enjoy the essence .soon Realized the effect of   Over masti .

In the second year when we were allotted new rooms and then started attending classes in our department. It was then, that the true meaning of engineering dawned upon me and I began to relish and enjoy the numerous new things that I learnt in the classrooms and in the campus. Of course, I participated in the ragging (interactive ) sessions and a host of extra curricular activities and was amazed at the opportunities of self-growth that they offered. I enjoyed the real opportunity that has shown me the hidden talent in maself. Life was indeed on an upswing during y 2^nd year.

Thereafter 3rd year, things got more and more hectic with the academic load increasing by leaps and bounds. I still cherish some of the sleepless nights which we spent copying (Cog) the Assignments.  In fact our gang of 7 members has invented a new strategy for copying the assignments and appearing for the exams. Worst phase in my academic life and the most cherishable phase is my 3^rd year in IIT M.

Today, I stand at the crux of a new life, of a new world wherein I took a job and work. It is difficult to believe, but my student life has ended (for the time being at least!). The last five years have seen a lot of changes in me… I have grown both as an individual – within myself as well as a social being. IIT Madras has not only given me the knowledge required and shown me the way to start my career; it has also contributed tremendously in my personal growth.

The hostel nite is the NIGHT OF THE YEAR. It can be called as a fare well party to the Passing out seniors in each and every hostel. It is the real  time of the year when all the Rgs, Muggus, studs, arbit  junta all come out of the rooms and participate in a night of fun, frolic and camaraderie. No effort is spared to make the occasion a grand affair. Especially Most of the work will be done by 1^st year and 2^nd year students. A theme is chosen and the event centers on that. My hostel theme was Casino when I last witnessed. The highlight of the hostel nite would be presence of girls in the usually barren hostel and of course the food. Most of the Guys celebrate the Nite only for the sake of Gals. Discos held in that nite will be at peak level. And the videos which show the creativity of seniors and showoff all the talents and characteristics of each and every senior. I believe that this nite is the only best occasion for the juniors to bid farewell to Graduating seniors. Finally the nite ends with the toast and Roasts

IITM Lingo- Any IITian would recall his memories once he hear any of these words. For Example  if someone asked an IITian how he fared an exam ,don't expect a lengthy, detailed analysis....He has either "crashed" or not -as simple as that ....Our  lingo stands out as a wonderful example of concision.

How i am Getting through this!!??               Dated: 06-02-10

           I have reached the Crux- the point between losing the interest in the job and starting my professional life!!. In order to regain the momentum and keep myself alive. unfortunately i am spending 12-13 hrs of a day in the office. I am no stranger to work hard and even i am not workaholic and i don know exactly how to cope up with this kind of situations. May be this seem to be a temporary problem, interacting with various kinds of people lets me stand upon everyday!

                I focus on several tasks in a day and getting frustrated with all the crap ,i keep asking myself y the hell i am here, but still music and ppl held me strong here.i asked myself  what is the best way to enjoy right now.? so whether its  doing work or keeping myself away from the @#@ unless i have  a reason to do so.....

Picnic in a Forest                                        Dated: 24-01-10

Picnicking in the forest was something we would like to do And it is one of life's simple pleasure.Apart from Kapilas Temple in Dhenkanal in Orissa, another temple is quite famous ---Saptasajya meaning Bhagwan Bishnu's "sej" or bed.It is Located 11 km out of dhenkanal, Saptasajya is said to act as a host to the pandavas during their agnyatavas days in these hills,forest.. The place , with its beautiful surroundings, is popular with holiday makers. It is also a favourite pilgrimage spot with the temples of Saptarshi and Raghunath reigning supreme during Ramanavami Festival.

 After 3.5  hours drive from Our Angul we reached at this place. Once we reached the saptasajya Hill, though road is there up to a certain height, we preferred trekking up on the steep road which gave an immense pleasure. at the beginning, on the foot of the hill we came across a small stream of  water fall!!, after travelling for 30 mins we came across a temple.had a lot of masthi and photo session there thinking that we have reached the greatest height of the hill. most of the members from our team were tired and they themselves set them back and planned to return to the foot of the hill, 

 we a team of 5 members came to know that there is another small shiva ling about 400 ft above this temple. Again we trekked up to the place passing through bushes of wild plants, lush green forest by enjoying the nature. some people followed us and got to know the value of following the right people!!

we found an ashram where i could notice a babaji sitting alone (dhyan). its a nice experience for me hearing the chirping sound of birds, catching the scenery, noticing the sculptures on the rocks lying down. sound of the stream flowing down the hill.There's a stream flowing down  directly on the Shiv  Ling.The view got more impressive the higher we went. I could see the entire landscape. It was a clear day with a few tufts of clouds here and there. In some places, it was hard to tell where there's a path. It took my breath away.

Despite the large Odiya Sunday crowd, the experience was almost thrilling. The green landscape was so soothing on the eyes, the hypnotic sound of the leaves on the trees rustling in the wind,Soothing sound of the water  stream  and birds chirping merrily, the experience was mainly heightened by the sound of the cascading water. Oh the main thing was the delightful food , of course I happily nibbled umpteen dishes. Even after our heavy lunch , I couldn't resist  sinful dessert.

On a a whole Picnic Camp Organized by 2 beautiful ladies was a blast for everyone who enjoyed the games, had delightful food, trekked the steep hills, splashed the water stream, and many more  that would make a nature-lover weak in the knees, the next day i really had a drowsy day
